THE LORD'S CHOSEN PRAYER & BIBLE STUDY ON ZOOM

OBEDIENCE TO GOD

Welcome to our Prayer and Bible study meeting on Zoom! If you want to join us live on Zoom, we meet every Friday at 7 PM. The Lord’s Chosen newsletter brings revival and apostolic Christian experiences, where zeal, righteousness, love, faith, unity, and a deep heaven-consciousness prepares our soul for heaven at last.

What if the key to finishing your Christian race successfully is already in your hands? Think of the joy of wearing your crown of righteousness in heaven, celebrating a life lived fully in obedience to God. This isn’t just a distant hope; it’s a reality that God desires for each of us.

However, finishing this race requires more than good intentions. It requires total obedience to God’s word, following the examples of those who have gone before us. Now is the time to reflect and align our steps with His instructions, ensuring we cross the finish line with victory.

This Week

True peace doesn’t come from solving all your problems. It comes from trusting God. Isaiah 26:3 KJV "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."

Our Christian campus fellowship registration is almost done. I’ve improved the application and waiting for the school’s response!

Testimonies of God’s Faithfulness:

  • Ethan Fung's Testimony:

    • Ethan shared how God has been faithful to his family, especially concerning his grandfather's cancer diagnosis. After attending a deliverance service at the Lord's Chosen, his grandfather's health and energy significantly improved. Ethan expressed gratitude for the peace this brought to his family, the renewed faith it inspired, and the growing interest of his siblings in the church.

  • Favour Nzeribe's Testimony:

    • Favour testified about divine favor in academics. After missing an assignment worth 10% of their grade, they prayed and received grace from the professor, who allowed them to make up for it by combining it with another assignment. The result was a high grade (88%), which Favour attributed to God's favor and the church's theme of restoration, dominion, and increase.

  • Osborn's Testimony:

    • Osborn reflected on nearly five years in Canada, thanking God for protection, good health, and spiritual revival. Despite facing spiritual battles in his initial years, he experienced deliverance and has grown spiritually through nightly prayers and Bible studies. He praised God for His unwavering mercy and guidance, even in challenging times.

These testimonies demonstrate themes of healing, divine favor, protection, and spiritual revival, emphasizing the impact of faith and obedience to God's word.

When God called the heroes of faith—Abraham, Noah, Peter, and Paul—they left everything behind and obeyed. Their obedience wasn’t partial; it was total. It’s because they followed God wholeheartedly that they were able to finish well.

The Bible reminds us in Exodus 18:20-22 and John 13:13-17 that success in the Christian race is tied to understanding, following, and applying God’s commands. Obedience is not just about hearing the Word; it’s about living it out daily.

What about us? Will we choose to follow the examples of these faithful ones, or will we allow distractions to deter us?

Imagine standing before God, hearing Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” This can be your story if you choose to obey Him fully. Obedience unlocks God’s blessings, guidance, and the power to live victoriously in this world and the next.

Consider this: Jesus Himself set the perfect example by living in complete obedience to the Father, even to the point of death (Phil. 2:6-8).

Philippians 2:6-8 (KJV) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

If we follow His steps, we can live a life of purpose, bearing fruit for God’s kingdom, and securing our eternal reward (2 Tim. 4:6-8).

2 Timothy 4:6-8 (KJV) For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Now is the moment to act. Take these steps to ensure your Christian race is a success:

  1. Study the Scriptures: Dive into God’s word daily (Joshua 1:8; 2 Tim. 2:15).

  2. Follow the Examples of Faith: Look to the lives of those who finished well—Abraham, Noah, the apostles, and above all, Jesus.

  3. Commit to Obedience: Obey God’s commands wholeheartedly, trusting His promises (Deut. 28:1-2; John 13:13-17).

Remember, obedience isn’t just about rules; it’s about a relationship with God. The more we obey, the more we grow in His likeness and experience His blessings. Let’s run this race with the aim of finishing strong, securing our place in heaven, and wearing the crown of righteousness.

May we all say with confidence, like Paul, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Tim. 4:7). God bless you as you commit to living out these keys to a successful Christian life!
