Do the Will of God and Prosper (Bible Study Recap) Part 1

Here’s the recap from our Zoom Bible study on 2 Chronicles 17. The full transcript is below. Watch the video and go through the highlights from each part of our meeting.

Opening Worship (0:00–4:00)

Led by Sister Ogo. We started with praises and worship to invite God's presence into the meeting.

Bible Reading & Insights (6:46–24:14)

We read through 2 Chronicles 17 and shared insights on how King Jehoshaphat followed God and prospered.

Highlights:

  • He built up a defence before anything else (v.1–2)

  • He refused to follow the culture around him (v.4)

  • He raised up others to teach the Word (v.7–9)

  • When the fear of God spread, peace followed (v.10)

Key question we asked: Are you personally building yourself up in God? Through prayer, fasting, study, and obedience?

This chapter became a playbook for how we’re building our Campus Fellowship. Watch that section of the video to see how we broke it down together.

Testimonies (31:02–43:42)

Students shared what God did this week. These weren’t small things. These were real answers to prayer.

  • God’s peace during midterms

“I felt calm during exams. I could hear God’s voice helping me choose the right answer.”

  • A 97% test score

“I was nervous but prayed, and scored 97% on a test I thought I’d fail.”

  • Protection from a car crash

“A car came out of nowhere and hit my parents. No one was hurt. God saved them.”

  • Salvation testimony

“I led someone to Christ this week. Someone else agreed to come to church.”

  • Exam questions matched what she studied

“I only had time to study one lecture. Almost the entire test was on that one chapter.”

Each testimony is a reminder: God answers students who trust Him.
Watch this part of the video. It is powerful.

5. Message: Do the Will of God and Prosper (43:44–1:03:20)

This message walked us through how to discover God's will and what happens when you walk in it.

Main points:

  • God’s will is not complicated. Start with the Bible.

  • Psalm 73 reminds us not to envy people who succeed without God.

  • Good success comes through obedience (Joshua 1:8)

  • You don’t need a 50-day fast to know God’s will. Just consistent time in the Word.

  • We were created for God's pleasure (Revelation 4:11). Our lives should reflect that.

  • When we serve God, He takes care of us. He services those who serve Him.

Final prayer:
We asked God for strength to do His will, to stay righteous even during exams, and to boldly share Christ on campus.

Watch this section of the video. It’s packed.
