Happy Wednesday and welcome to Day 2 of our journey together in April!
Today, we're reflecting on Genesis 1:28 and 9:1-7 with a powerful theme: You Are Created to Be Fruitful and Multiply.
Remember the promise in our memory verse from Genesis 1:26:
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
From the beginning, God intentionally created you with incredible potential. You were designed to succeed, to grow, and to multiply,in your academics, relationships, career, and beyond. Although humanity fell into hardship due to sin, Jesus Christ lovingly intervened to restore what was lost. Through His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection, He offers you the opportunity to reclaim God's original blessings of fruitfulness.
No matter your current challenges, through Jesus Christ, your ability to thrive and multiply remains strong. Embrace Him fully today as your personal Saviour, live according to His teachings, and watch how His blessings unfold in your life.
Let’s join together in prayer today:
By the blood and righteousness of Jesus, I declare fruitfulness and multiplication in every area of my life, in Jesus name.
Any power attempting to hinder God's purpose for my life, be destroyed now, in Jesus name.
Through the blood of Jesus, I reclaim everything the enemy has stolen from my life, in Jesus name.
Lord, restore and refresh all spiritual gifts and virtues upon our General Overseer. Empower him afresh, in Jesus name.
Some Romans Chapter 2 insights:
No Excuse for Hypocrisy (Romans 2:1-3)
If you judge others for sin but commit the same, you're condemning yourself. On campus, if you're telling others to live holy but you're secretly sinning, you’re being a hypocrite.God’s Kindness Leads to Repentance (Romans 2:4)
Don’t take God's patience for granted. His goodness isn’t permission to keep sinning. It’s an invitation to turn back to Him.Judgment is Based on Deeds (Romans 2:5-6)
Whether you’re a student or a leader, God will repay each person based on what they do. This includes hidden actions and secret thoughts.Glory for Those Who Persevere (Romans 2:7)
If you keep following Christ with patience and faith, even through midterms, stress, or loneliness, He promises eternal life.Judgment Begins with Believers (Romans 2:8-9)
Those who claim to follow God will be judged first. As students who identify as Christians, we must hold ourselves to God's standard.God Shows No Favourites (Romans 2:11)
Whether you’re a professor, a new student, or part of the student fellowship, God is not a respecter of persons. All are equal before His law.Law Written on the Heart (Romans 2:14-15)
Even people who haven’t read the Bible still have a conscience. But those who know God’s Word are held accountable for living it.It’s About the Heart, Not Just the Outside (Romans 2:28-29)
Being a Christian isn’t about appearances. It’s about inward transformation, a circumcision of the heart, not just outward labels or religious activity.Practice What You Preach (Romans 2:21-24)
If you teach others not to sin but fall into the same traps, like idolizing academics, social media, or money, your witness is weakened and can dishonour God’s name.Jesus Will Judge Secrets (Romans 2:16)
One day, Jesus will judge even the hidden parts of our lives. Not just what people see on campus, but the intentions of our heart.Don’t Just Boast in God, Live It (Romans 2:17–20)
It’s not enough to know God’s law or boast that you're part of a fellowship. If you claim to guide others, make sure you’re walking the walk, not just talking.Apply the Word to Yourself (Romans 2:21–23)
If you teach others not to steal, do you steal? If you preach holiness but live in compromise, it dishonours God. As campus leaders and students, our lifestyle must reflect our message.Your Lifestyle Reflects God’s Name (Romans 2:24)
When Christians live in sin, it causes non-believers to mock God. Be mindful that how you live on campus reflects either glory or shame on the name of Jesus.Outward Religion is Not Enough (Romans 2:25–27)
Obedience from the heart matters much. A student who lives right in Christ, even if unnoticed, is counted righteous.True Identity is Inward (Romans 2:28–29)
Being a true follower of God isn’t about outward labels like religion or tradition. It’s about inward transformation. God looks at your heart, not just your title or role.
