Text: Joshua 24:15
TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT
Memory Verse: “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” (Deuteronomy 30: 19)
One of the major problems confronting believers in Christ today is the lack of the knowledge of God. Many are of the opinion that God’s abundance will fall from the sky. God has given us abundance, but He is not going to put it into our mouths. It is, therefore, your duty to take it. God does not force abundance on anyone. It is either you choose to take it or leave it. Many professed believers suffer lack because they have refused to take the abundance that God has made available for them. Therefore, if anyone is in lack and scarcity, he must not put the blame on God.
Everything you need to operate in abundance has been deposited inside of you. All you have to do is to identify them, hone them, and put them into good use. In our memory verse, we see that God has set before us choices. Among them is the choice to be blessed or remain under curse. The choice of blessing is the decision to operate in God's abundance, while the choice of curses is the decision to be poor and wretched. God, in His infinite wisdom, counsels us to choose life so that we can have the opportunity to live in abundance. Unfortunately, many have chosen the latter, albeit inadvertently.
If you have not taken a decision to operate in abundance, it means you have decided to operate in lack. Remember, the choice you make will determine what you get; abundance or lack. If you choose to serve God in spirit and truth, you have chosen abundance of all things. But if you choose to reject Him, you have chosen to remain cursed. In our text today, we see Joshua reminding the children of Israel during his priesthood to choose for themselves whom they would serve. So, choose today whether to operate in abundance or lack.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. Lord, let the grace of abundance be activated in my life, in Jesus' name.
2. Every yoke of lack and scarcity operating in my life, break, in Jesus' name.
3. Every obstacles against abundance in my life be uprooted, in Jesus' name.
4. O Lord, release the abundance of your spirit and grace upon our General Overseer, in Jesus' name.
P.S. If you have a pressing need, please share your prayer request with us so our campus fellowship will be praying for you.
