Text: 2 Chronicles 7:13-14
THERE IS STILL ROOM FOR DIAL0GUE
Memory Verse: “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.” (Joel 2:25-26).
We have every reason to be encouraged in our walk with God. One thing we can be sure of is that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is always there for us and does everything possible to bring us back to Him. He can get angry with us and chastise us, but His anger is not for a lifetime. God has zero tolerance for sin. Yet, He forgives us all our iniquities so that we do not die in them. In our text, He says, “If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people.”
As punishment for sin, the Lord can shut up heaven so there will be no rain or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among the people. All these drastic measures are aimed at correcting the ills of the society. However, when the people realize their folly and decide to make a U-turn, God will cancel the punishment and restore them to their former glory. What God needs to cancel any judgment and restore the people is that they humble themselves and realize their mistakes and repent from all of them and then pray unto Him. He says He will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their lives.
In our memory verse for today, God confirms that He would restore everything the locusts, cankerworm, caterpillar and palmerworm had eaten. Whatever they had taken away or stolen, shall be recovered and restored. Your glory, honour, health, job, promotion, wealth and riches, shall be recovered and restored. You must therefore recover it through salvation. Don’t forget, the promise of abundance was made when Adam was righteous. He lost the glory of God upon him in the Garden of Eden and then Jesus restored it back. So, if you want to be restored to God’s abundance, accept Jesus Christ into your life. Make Him your Lord and personal Saviour and you shall receive restoration.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
O God, restore whatever the devil had stolen from my life, in Jesus name.
All my goods are stacked up in any evil warehouse; I recover them by fire, in Jesus’ name.
Lord, release upon me the enabling the grace to operate in abundance, in Jesus name.
Any gift or virtue in the life of our General Overseer and Mommy in the Lord, which the enemy has hindered, stolen, sat upon, covered or hijacked, manifest by fire, in Jesus name.
O God our Father, we do not need war in our nation. Therefore, we ask that you give us perfect peace, in Jesus name.
P.S. If you haven’t already, you can fill out our member survey with a prayer request so our campus fellowship will be praying for you.
